"There, look up! See those smoke trails passing by the ponies dressed in their awesome blue uniform? Those... are the Wonderbolts. Everypony knows them, but I’m not here to tell tales of the team. Instead, I want to tell you ponies a tale about the most unsung member of them all, the one who made this all possible: Soarin.

Soarin the Wonderbolt! He wears a silly persona most of the time, but don’t be fooled, he is a Senior Wonderbolt and arguably the most experienced. Nicknamed the ‘Stormcrafter’ by the other members, and me, his knowledge in the field of electricity and weather is unparalleled. His powers to manipulate the elements to his will? Second to none. Not even I can come close to how good he is.

What’s more, I learned during Summer Camp that Soarin was the mastermind behind some of the rather obscure, but most important, feats. Did you know that if it weren’t for the weather team’s effort, Canterlot would have long been ravaged by the weather which approaches from the outlands? You do now. Thanks to Soarin’s knowledge, he created a weather barrier to envelop Canterlot and resist the changes in weather. That once a year storm which washes away the debris from Winter Wrap Up in Ponyville? Soarin. That double flip cloud clearing technique? Soarin.

I look up to that pegasus. How he never goes around bragging about his magnificent feats to others. How he’s quite content with what he has now. I suppose there’s a lot an aspiring Wonderbolt like me could learn from him.

And... word to the wise. Keep a lookout for the coming tempest. Cause you sure as Celestia don’t want to be near whatever squall the Stormcrafter’s brewing."
