As I have promised in the before test, I’ve tested Alice’s style for animating, showing Flippy doing a little walk cycle in a slightly modified Alice Style (modified to ease animating process). To be honest, this style is also quite easy to animate :) unlike what I thought before. It was a really fun 2 hours trying to create a database and animate it :D Although I also struggled... Alot ^^;

So both styles are Animating approved! But if I am to animate Sweet Lullaby in the creators style, I’m confused, which style I should adopt? Alice2080’s or Shivita’s? Both have unique positive qualities, and I’m stuck at which to choose if I am to proceed...

The complexity in Alice’s style lies on the eye. Required 6 layers and some tweaking to get it (barely) right ^^; . The other elements are mostly identical to the test before. Limbs and Torso models are different by a bit, and in this, he is also a tad taller

And of course, I still have to declare that my walking animation kinda sucked...

i think it looks better in the original htf form cuz it will look kinda weird if you have htf (original) then you change it to htf (modern like ths animation) its you're choice jst pitchin an idea 4 ya ^-^

Well, I am still to continue it in HTF style. However, there is this possibility that I will be working on a re-animation using this style. To make long story short, I will be working on both styles in tandem (so the HTF style ones continues on while the ones in this style starts again from chapter 1)

Thanks for your opinion though :D

Hooray for tweening!
Meh, I suck at being good.

Critique time.
Yes, shivita's and alice's styles are way better, but hey, let's see them do it in flash animation.
Most of all to think of it, you should base it on which style you are more comfortable with.
If you didn't, that would lead to angry viewers on why you took so long, uncomfortable, confused, and equals=disaster.
I've tried that before, but hey; let's seek the pro's and con's shall we?

Pros(if you're going to use the styles):
More viewers, more experience, less critiques

Cons:
Headaches, complicated switch to image and flash, longer testing time, uncomfortable

Oh looks, the Cons won.
Meh, it really is up to you, but on my opinion, it's best if you stick to what you know, or learn the style and take time on it.

Your choice.

Well, the problem is as I've said, switching between both their styles (between Alice's and Shivita's) which is, while looks very similar, is different in many aspects. Polarity switching can knock the balance out of animators which can result in a slight decline in quality, and that I don't want. Hmmm, If you say less critique is better, I don't really agree with you in certain aspects as through critique and feedback is a way to earn experience no? Well too much critique is not that healthy too actually ^^;

The problem mostly stems from creating the character database which, while have twice the parts, requires 4 times the time to prepare although animating them is not that difficult (twice the time).

I do see some merits in your statement about sticking to one style instead of constantly switching everytime (transition between chapter 2-3 and 4-5). More time to master the whole thing, means better specialisation on that style :) Better specialisation means quicker mastery :D

Thank you so much for your advice ;)

By the way, which style do you prefer if its to be animated their way?

As far as I'm concerned, I'm not going to deny anything you prefer for the future(or present, do you ask), 'cause it wouldn't be that fair, now would it?
If it's going to affect the quality, then I guess that could be a loss or a plus, but yes, less critique is better.

I know, creating the character is hard, and animating them is quite simple.
Not that hard, just the layers and the colors and junk.

Yes, I do give great statements, now do I?
:iconcoolplz:
Hahaha, but if you do agree with me, then I'll give it a plus.

No problem, just keep up and be comfortable with what style you want to use.

I'll prefer the Alice and Shivita style(THEIR STYLES ARE ALMOST THE SAME JUDGING THE FACT THAT THEY'RE BOTH WORKING ON ONE COMIC).
It's much more explicit and catches the attention of the viewers.
No offense.

Whatever you like.

Thank you for your vote :D

You know right that Sweet Lullaby was actually created by the duo Alice2080 and Shivita? Who have slightly different styles in their drawings. So the two different test animations was aimed to test, give me a little bit of practice, and to see whose style people prefer to see if it is to be animated in their style :)
